Demo Session: Learning from the Therapist’s Chair
This live online demo session is designed for therapists who are interested in deepening their work with developmental trauma. While it will naturally resonate with those familiar with the NARM® approach, it is equally open to any practitioner who is curious to explore a relational, present-centered way of working.
Barbara offers a two-hour live “Demo Session,” creating a rare opportunity to witness therapy as it unfolds in real time.
The format mirrors the experiential nature of her trainings: a participant will volunteer to engage in a live session with Barbara, followed by a shared group reflection.
During the first hour, Barbara will work directly with the client while also making her clinical thinking visible; gently articulating her questions, choices, and orientation as the session unfolds. The second hour is devoted to group discussion, where participants are invited to reflect, ask questions, and explore what they observed.
This is a rich and engaging way to step into the therapist’s chair to sense the nuances of relational work, and to learn not just what is done, but how and why it emerges in the moment.
Please note: this session is intended as a learning experience and does not count as formal training credit.
